My Olympic Artwork!!

Screenshot 2016-09-22 at 12.41.13 PM.png

This is my Olympic artwork.  In it I have all of the things that me and my class have been doing for our Topic Inquiry like our maths  tessellation, similes, metaphors and Olympic vocab.

First let me explain similes and metaphors.  In the speech bubbles we have similes.  Similes are a comparison  two things using like or as.  For example she is like shadow when she creeps up on her pray.  In the thought bubbles we have metaphors.   Metaphors are when you compare two things without using like or as they just say what they want to say.

Tessellations are a repeated pattern with no gaps or overlapping. In the back of my art work you can see this piece at the back, that is my tessellation.  To make a 3.8cm triangle.  It was pretty hard to make but I manage to make it and made a pretty cool piece.

The last one is my olympic vocab.  We had to put in friendship, respect and excellence.  We had to because those were the olympic values.

I hope you enjoyed my writing and have great day.

Challenge #1
Build a structure with a cube as the base:
Screenshot 2016-09-06 at 2.20.14 PM.png

Challenge 1 was really fun but at the same time it was very frustrating too because it keep falling down when we were building it.
But at the end we made a pretty cool structure.

Challenge #2
Build the tallest structure that you can and your base can be any size:

Challenge 2 was very hard because me and my team were finding it hard to make it very tall.
At the end we made it as tall as we could.

Challenge #3
Build a structure with something that balances off the side of it:

Challenge 3 was easy but we only got 5 minutes to do it so that one was a bit rushed but that was okay.

Moment In Time Week 7

Boy Overboard!

Jack and uncle Cakey were looking over the side of boat trying to catch a glimpse at the great white shark, suddenly he tripped over the anchor rope that his uncle told him to put away and he fell into the water like a polar bear diving for its food. “HELP!” cried Jack but uncle Cakey could not hear him because   he was deaf.  Jack was gasping for air as he was slowly drowning, he thought he would die.

The teeth chattering water was rising above his head,he could see sharks that had eyes of steal.  They were surrounding him like they had not eaten in months. He was as scared as a kid in a haunted house and he was missing his mum and his Uncle Cakey,he was fading into the darkness just him and his lonely soul.

He decided to lie on his back, say his prayers and let nature do what nature needed to do.  The goosebumps on his arms were  slowly going away, the waves were pushing up and down.  He was now in the power of nature. He knew the right thing would happen and he might not die a painful death.

Memphis:
I think me and my team done really well on working together and finding where we needed to put full stops and capitals letters.

Jipsy:
I think that me and my crew done really well for this moment in time, cause we had a lot of ideas in our mind that we shared.

Mereana:
I think that me and my group did really well.  I liked that everyone put all their great ideas together and made a good piece of writing.  I also learnt some new words from my group.

Daisy:
I think me and my group did well on this piece of writing because we all put all our ideas together and made a really good piece of writing that is really descriptive and has a simile that decrided the sentence that it was used  really well. But in this piece of writing we still needed to go back and change same words and read it for sense.

The day Robby got a Tooth to the nee

One day Bobby said to his mates in class how about we play soccer at recess, they all replied “ shore thing Bobby “ The teacher heard them and they got the strap, but the worst part was they got it on their bottom so it hurt even more.

Finally recess was here.  They all yelled yay recess is here where free.  Some of the other kids were thanking the lord because recess was here.  Bobby said “ it feels like it has been millions of years” & all of his friends agreed even the other kids did to.  When they started the game Robbys eyes were as black as coal, Bobby said  “are you okay Robby” “year I’m fine” replied Robby.

After that they just carried on with their game until Bobby tripied & his teeth landed in Robbys legg.  “ Robby screamed Ouuuch ”   “ Bobby your teeth are daggers, there really sharp”.  “ Sorry I hope I am forgiven for what I have done”.  “ Of course you are you did not mean to do it “.  “ Thank you for forgiving me and sorry again”.
